We’ve gathered the most common questions about our whale watching tours — including what whales you might see, what to bring, and how to prepare. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a returning guest, here’s everything you need to know before you head out with Lost Isle Adventures.


From April to November, we frequently see humpback whales. In the winter and early spring, gray whales migrate through the area. Occasionally, you may spot orcas or blue whales.


Bring a warm layer, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera. Motion sickness prevention is a good idea for sensitive guests.


Yes! Our tours are family-friendly and safe for all ages.


Our tours are 3 hours long and take you along the scenic Central Coast, just outside Morro Bay.


If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking non-drowsy Dramamine an hour before boarding. We stay in relatively calm waters, but it's always best to be prepared.

Yes, there is free public parking available along the Embarcadero near our shop.


Bring a jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. Bottled water and snacks are also a good idea.
